INSTITUTE PROFILE

Kaberamaido Technical Institute is a Government Institution founded in 1984 under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES). It is located 4km to the south of Keberamaido town on a 58 acre piece  of land positioned between Okile and Ochero roads at the junction of the roads at corner Ogobai trading centre which is in Abongorwot village, Kabalkweru parish, Kobulubulu sub-county, Kaberamaido District, Eastern Region. The Institute was established to meet the demands of the ever growing community by offering a Competence Based Curriculum focusing on hands on skills training.  

 

Kaberamaido Technical Instiute operates under the department of Technical Vocational Education Training and Operations Management (TVETOM), Ministry of Education and Sports. The Institution is implementing the strategic plan by TVETOM of "Skilling Uganda" by offering Appriopriate Skills Training to enhance self reliance and national development. To this effect, the Ministry has attracted funding from the World Bank through the Uganda Skills Development Project (USDP) which has greatly uplifted the Institution by providing modern infrastructures, equipments and tools for training purposes.

The Institute is registered by the Ministry of Education & Sports Under registration number 5140077.
